Undetweetable is a web application that collects deleted tweets.
Anyone can enter any twitter user in the database and it will start tracking their tweets that otherwise would have been deleted.
The project was created as a collaboration with students in my MobileLab Research Studio. It was widely covered by international press.
Undetweetable is a hybrid art, curatorial, and social media experiment. It explores pseudonymity/anonymity, data ownership, authorship, and privacy.
Undetweetable created mirror pages that looked exactly like the legitimate page on twitter, except ours featured only the deleted tweets. It was an alternate universe of twitter. This is wired's Undetweetable page.
